Soak is a Water-type move introduced in Generation V. It can be taught by the Water Move Tutor.

In-Game Description

The user shoots a torrent of water at the target that soaks them and changes the their type to Water.

Effect

Soak changes the target's Type to single Water-type only. The effect lasts as long as the target remains in battle; however, changing form or transforming overrides the effect. Soak succeeds even if the target is already a pure Water-type Pokémon. Soak fails if used on a Substitute, Decoy or Petroglyph. The effect of Soak is not Baton Passed.

If the user is rallied, the user's Special Attack stat rises by one stage.
